Every drummer has their own style I guess.

Yes, it's on One Vision but I was more interested in concerts. Most live videos don't show such details but has Roger been doing that in the Queen days too?

Roger did it on One Vision, yes. I´m sure he did it more often from time to time in the studio to just get a distinguished sound on some tracks. But it was NOT standard! As for live concerts: maybe he did it sometimes, but I've never SEEN him do it during the real Queen days...
He did it for sure at The FM tribute in '92. I have to check Wembey '86, now.

I don't have many concerts where the pic quality is good enough to see which way round he's holding the sticks, but I'll see what I can find
P_G, no need to, I was only curious. It's nothing important.

"A Magic Tour" book, pages 40, 46, 72

In all three cases right stick is right way round, left stick is backwards.
One photo is Dicky Hart & the Pacemakers, one's a soundcheck, and one looks like Maine Road.

I'll try and scan it.
Hopefully my profile now shows the bit in question - I've also found another example on Live At Budapest, during IWTBF, about 5 seconds before the guitar solo.
..and the heavy bit of Bo Rhap

Thanks...

See, I even have time for you.
