AKOM is encoded 16:9. Invisible man isn't. Unfortunately, I forgot that I'd left my tv set to 16:9, so InvMan looked stretched.
I know exactly how my tv works thankyou. I happen to be working with video a lot and it's very big hobby. So I have to know the basics...

I have a region2 disc. When it comes to your explanation about changing settings on the dvd player, I can only say that I've never needed to do that for anything. Even my own stuff.

I've watched on computer, a WS tv and a FS tv and I've never had any viewing problems that you refer to. Maybe the region1 is different.

Peace,
Adam.

I'm sure you'll have an ally in a purist otherwise known as Kevo. I wouldn't worry about offending anyone, as long is you are willing to roll with the punches.

No way am I offended. But you're assuming that my dvd player works like yours. It doesn't. That's all you need to know.

I'm Adam. I'm big on video and audio. More of a pro when it's audio. That's why I know what I know.

Peace,
Adam.

Just got the Canadian copy of GVH2. Noticed the following issues on my Toshiba 1650 DVD player:

I Want To Break Free & The Invisible Man - both pictures stutter.

Who Wants To Live Forever - I get French subtitles...? WTF?

Anywho - apart from that, it's a good DVD.

I would be interested in finding out what is causing these problems (dvd pressing, dvd player...I've never had a problem with any other dvd before..)

Merry Christmas to all
:-)

..and Happy Holidays to the people who don't celebrate Xmas.

I also got the French subtitles. I thought that I hit a button because they were still on for the next song, but all I did was hit the subtitles button and turn it off. Seemed to work. I guess I didn't hit anything after all. Do you have an Apex DVD player by any chance?

Also, does anyone know where the hidden video on GVH II is? I can't find it.

And I thought I was picky about Queen DVDs!! (LOL)
No qualms or quirks on my copy. I located the hidden videos, and everything is totally fine...
EXCEPT that I envy those with UK releases with the slipcovers! Something the idiots at Hollywood Records in the US would not even think about doing, stupid bastards!!
