His talent and his legacy has been with me since he died. Once I met his music at the age of 5, I wouldn't be the same person as I am today, and my music taste would be very different now. Freddie is part of my life, his figure has been with me since then, his music, his voice... He has made me realise how beautiful music can be, and how it can let me show my feelings and how it can make me feel feelings...
I must thank him for this, and I must say that in part I know him because he died, and I'm happy with that. But you imagine HOW I DO WISH he could be alive today with... 7 Queen albums more perhaps!

Thank you vey much Freddie anywere you are... your soul remains in every one of us, in every piece of music you did.

Love you.

This was beautiful.

Here's my little tribute:

Today 12 years ago was a very sad day in music history and for millions of people all over the world.
Ironically, that certain sad day was the day that made me become a Queen fan. As stupid as it sounds, but I think I'm not the only one.
That day I started questioning my mom after hearing the sad news about Freddie's death and the next day I knew so much about Queen and Freddie and from then on they were my favourite band, ever!
The day Freddie left changed my life. He introduced me to rock music and he left me something that will last for the rest of my life: my love for Queen, for their music, for Freddie and for his voice. No other band ever inspired me so much while growing up.
It's just sad that I got into them that way. But it doesn't change what he, his music and Queen mean to me now.
But I thank him for so much and I wish he was still here. Where ever he is, I'm sure he's fine and he's watching us.
And he still makes the show go on!

Sadly ironic with GVH2 finally out in the states tomorrow(11/25) it features "Radio Ga Ga" the first music video I still recall(I was eleven)watching. That next year, Live Aid made me a believer. His infulences was years ahead of its time(writing film scores, wearing a one handed glove, singing in other languages, saying "darling" every other sentence'joke'). A incredible mind and a hard loss. We love you Freddie

Today when I walked into my social studies class, my amazing teacher had "RIP Freddie Mercury" written on the board. He had been getting "who is that?" remarks all day, but I think I was the first person to thank him for it.

Getting back on topic, hard to believe it's been 12 years. That's one year younger than I am old, and sometimes I wonder what he was like. But hell - when you listen to the records, particularly the early ones, even though you know he's off in South Africa writing songs with Elvis and Jimi, it seems like he's alive, because that's how you hear him.

Freddie's body may be dead, but his spirit lives on. In the form of an Australian frilled lizard. No, I do not have proof of this, but I am convinced it is true :)

Hey that's really cool! Your teacher rocks! None of my teachers would have done that...
Well, maybe my art teacher cos he's a rock'n roller.

I also wonder sometimes what he would be like if he was still alive. And how he would look like... and what Queen would be like....

Once I age-altered a photo of him. I came to regret it. The result was not pretty.

Ah, well, life goes on.

Freddie is what kept me going, i won't go into the details but if it weren't for him i would be long since in my grave....he was the most amazing man in the world....i was only a baby when he died but i remember the first time i watched Top Of The Pops 2 the video of bohemian rapshody was on and i was enchanted....it was the most amazing thing i had ever seen....i will always remember that moment.....
It's unheard of to combine opera with a rock theme, my dear. My nail polish? I used to use Biba, now I use Miners. One coat goes on really smooth. -Freddie
