Ah, well, it's nothing compared to what a certain George W. Bush is doing. Sending people to war, just because he thinks it'll be good for the American economy....

About Howard Stern, listen he does this because of ratings, and money. Also because its funny accoding to him.
Unfortuntatetly, there are people that think what is funny are potty jokes, handicap slandering, agmonst other "un-pc" matters. Still, that's how it is. Stern is making tons of money out of this, you guys can complain till you are blue in the face, but Stern will not stop it.
However, I see Stern's "humour". He is trying to say, and do what some of so called "normal and law abiding" human beings think of, and never have the "cojones" to do. He has the guts to do it. He is trying to be rebellious, and do what people had been fantasising or always wanted to do. I don't blame him for that honestly. He just sticks out. Now, I'm not defending what he does, because some is down right wrong. However, it is what is pushing ratings up and racking in the millions. Also, I think that Stern is somewhat testing society. I've seen some shows and its like a social commentary (in my perspective) of how humans would do ANYTHING for money or prizes or any of the sort. It's interesting, but insulting as well. Depends how you view it.
Still, is it right? Depends on who you ask, or who finds it funny.
If any of you do not find it funny, you can just ignore it. Stern has millions of dollars, and if one person switches the channel or turns the radio dial that would not affect him or the show in any other way. In other words, he won't even care.
Unfortunatetly, thats how capitalism works, and how much "Star Power" is important in First World countries such as the US and UK, were the populace is swayed by what is popular, and were individual thought is almost non existant.

About women, most of the women that come on that show could be interpreted in 2 reasons:
1. Cmon, most of the women that come there are porn stars for god sake. They feed on male attention. Stern treats them like "trash" because they like being treated that way. Also, most of the people that listen or watch his show are men, and most men love porn. Female porn stars use his show as a vehicle of promotion.
2. 15 mins. of fame. Most women, who aren't either porn stars or movie stars, go to Stern's show to talk to him or expose any kind of flesh in order to say "Hey! I was on the Stern show and I showed him my tits". In some cases they get prizes for.
These women aren't forced to appear on his show. They are there because they want to.

Getting to know the "real" Howard Stern.
Hmmm
I would say ask his ex wife. She would know what makes him tick more than anyone. I do not watch him much. Some stuff that I have seen or heard about him, I think is funny but definitly over the line.
Can't figure him out nor am I really that interested in trying.
Had no idea that he exploited people like that though.
That's nausiating.

Howard Stern's job is to shock people to death.
I still remember when he made Courtney Love take off her shirt, after having convinced her that the cameras were off. They weren't.
And Adam Duritz - what a nightmare.

Just thinking of Courtney Love with her shirt off makes me feel like I want to puke.

Take it or leave it. Thats how you should view Stern. i like it. It makes me laugh most of the time. When I don't like it I change the station. He is a fan of Queen so he's not all bad. One thing I'll always remember reading an article about him is, he'll say the most mean & nasty things to your face. Then say the nicest & sweetest things about you behind your back. More of us should live like that.

Is he really? I remember he couldn't even name a few songs when he interviewed Brian, I may be wrong though
