The fact that Roger needs a second drummer on just about everything he plays on these days is a good indication that he just can't do it anymore. I dont think Roger could handle an entire concert playing the drums.

According to Brian Roger says if they are going to do anything on a large scale then it has to be in the next 2 years but no I thought Rog looked quite at ease playing the reason behind the 2 drummers has always been Brians idea he likes the power of 2 which he got with Cozy. Roger still can kick arse, he kept up with Eric on Invicible hope which has a fast drumming pace.

It's not the age thats the biggest problem, the problem is no excersize, how many times did Roger play drums in concert since 1986?

Not very much. He didn't had to sport to stay in shape, cause drumming did the same for him, and now he hasn't done it a lot in the last 16 years. But he could always get in shape again (but ofcourse it isn't going to be the same as in the 70s and 80s)

I'd love the idea of two drummers, it's always fun. But Eric really must buy a better drumkit, not the incredible shit he had for AW.

Its bothers me about the amount of posts like "ooh rogers getting old"...."he can't play as well as he did in the 70s". We're in 2003. Of course things change, and he's a 53 yr old man for gods sake. If he was really into drumming then he'd be playing everyday, but he's said on many occasions that he's not, to him playing the drums is like his work, so he likes to sing from time to time and do other stuff.

I think he did himself proud at 46664. He sung brilliantly and performed with style. He considers himself a musician not just a drummer, he doesn't love playing as much as say Brian. He also enjoys his life, and all the things with it. He deserves to party and everything and do what he wishes.

people take part in marathons in their 80s. Don't tell me his problem is physically determined.
