As argentinian, but fan of San Lorenzo, I don't know if Boca Juniors beating AC Milan was good or not! ;)

A River fan cheering for Boca, now that's something weird.

That's a silly stereotype based on Diego Maradona.
He might have been the best Argentine player of all time, but certainly not one that had class and deserved respect.
I read Maradona's autobiography and it just re-confirmed in his own words what an asshole he is. He kept bashing Passarella almost the whole book, and he only tried to put the differences outside after Passarella's son died.

Sigh...i am a Milan supporter...:-( 120 minutes to see my idols shooting penalties out of the stadium :'-(
Milan could play much better...Pirlo since he plays in milan at least 3 years has NEVER failed a penalty...why this time???!?!?!?

Mr Jingles, the cheating piece in my reply was indeed aimed at Maradona, but the rest of it was aimed at the entire 1990 & 1994 world cup squads, and Batistuta, Simone, Duscher, Aimar and Lopez etc from 1998 & 2002.

snepper, you're so right, of course what i meant to say is, ALL Argintine footballers are dirty, diving cheats, and have been for as far back as i can remember, ask your Father to tell you about the Argintians of the 1960's.

Seriously Harvey, the only Argentine players that you have the right to criticize are Maradona, Caniggia, and perhaps Simeone.
Batistuta, Duscher, Aimar and Lopez are excellent players, and I don't think there's any reason to call them cheaters.
Perhaps you're still upset for Argentina defeating England in penalty kicks on the 1998 World Cup.
Think of it... if it wasn't because Beckham made himself get expelled, perhaps England could have won that game.

Indeed the players you mentioned are great players, which makes it harder to believe the lengths they go to, to get descisions, feining injury to get a fellow profesional sent off is a cowardly thing to do.
And loosing in '98 on penalties was indeed disapointing, but we more than had our revenge in Japan in 2002, and when Argintina went home after the prelimary round, all football lovers in England celebrated.

You know a lot of World Cup history, Harvey. Why don't you tell us that lovely story about England 66, when quarterfinals between ARG-ENG and URU-GER, when by "chance" they make that the first match was with a german referee (who sent off Ratin for nothing) and the second match an english referee sent off two players from Uruguay.
And i have a some names for you (talking about "dirty, diving , cheating, adicted below average person"):
* Vinnie Jones (look for him at Guinnes book)
* Paul Gascoine (adicted to the bones)
* Hidden scandal of drug cheats who shame English football (http://www.guardian.co.uk/Archive/Article/0,4273,4385004,00.html)
* 7 players rape a 17 year's old girl (you tell me if this is about a below average person!)
