He says Merry Christmas. Great, huh? But seriously, he then says, "May 2004 bring you many dreams come true."

What could he mean?? I also wonder what wonderful responses this topic will get. lol

Peace,
Adam.

Maybe its just a normal general "Best Wishes" greeting....
"Freddie would have loved it" - Brian May

Yeah, just like in 1989, when he was interviwed by the Brazilian television and said something like "we'll soon be perfoming more miracles to you". Yeah, yeah ;)

lol..wow....he's just wishing us all the best and I think we should do the same....rather than analyze every word rog or bri says. Let's just have a great, safe, healthy holiday and look forward to a good new year...and wish them the best too.

I NEVER do this. I never take something and try to work every little nuance out of what someone means.

Brian's message is more than just best wishes. It's obvious. Why mention May 2004? That's very specific. I don't know the word to describe it, but I think that he's planned something for that month. Something Queen's involved with? A new Brian album in the offing?

I just wanted to discuss it.

Peace,
Adam.

If he meant something with may 2004 (which I doubt) it's probably just another crappy version of WWRY opening somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

That sounds about right, Pim.

"Ofcourse it will be a version adapted to the county of Zimbabwe, including new jokes by our dear Ben. It will also include some nice new snippets of Freddie's singing - I know he would've loved it all!

Roger and I will be recording a new version of WWRY with one of the lead singers, Bertje, who's an extra-ordinary leadvocalist and a superb lead in the musical as our Galileo. There will also be a new musical album available in two different sleeves, including an exclusive remix of A Kind Of Magic including newly adapted lyrics by Roger in the language of Zimbabwe."

Probably something like this will be in the soapbox around march/april 2004...

Just kidding Brian - don't call me a parasite or a horrible fan ;-)))

I wasn't going to get into this, but now you've gone too far!

"Why mention May 2004?"

He said "May 2004 bring you..." which would be bad grammar (unless he's turned Japanese) for what you're imagining. It would be "brings" or "will bring" to be proper in that regard.

He's simply using "May" as in "I hope" or whatever. And perhaps he likes the word since it's his name ;)

Here's some useless trivia: Between 1973 & 1991, Queen only released 3 U.K. singles in the month of May. They are:

"Play The Game" (Mercury)
"I Want It All" (Queen/Actually May)
"Headlong" (Queen/Actually May)

The albums "Hot Space", "A Kind of Magic", "The Miracle" and "Live At Wembley '86" were all released in May as well.

"He's simply using "May" as in "I hope" or whatever"

That's what I thought.

OMG - Did Adam mean this serious? I thought he was just taking the piss at some people here who read into every word Brian, Freddie, John, Roger or anyone remotely connected to Queen ever said!

woops...

I read the words and got confused. Bad grammar. DOH! Thankyou DeaconFan for setting me straight!
Notice how Pim tried to stir things up, yet DeaconFan actually made me realise what I missed? Hmm...

Peace,
Adam.

I definitely would have to say that this is just him wishing us a happy new year in his Brian sort of way.

Adam, are you really from UK, and is English really your mother tongue?
No offence, just curious to know if such understading mistakes can be done even by the British :-)
