For all of you who live in the UK: is Kensington Market still thriving? I've got a book called Rock and Roll London that's very informative and gives a ton of Queen information (including all places they ever played), amongst other groups such as The Beatles, the Stones and the Who. Nice pictures and maps too!
Another related question: Why were the towers at the entrance to Wembley Stadium torn down?

On the second Wembley DVD, it shows the towers being demolished in a time-lapse montage with Brian waxing nostalgic about how special the towers were! I just wonder when they were torn down, 2002 or 2003??

Sadly the towers did come down as it was deemed too expensive to fit them into the new design!!!!

And I think Kensington Market is also a thing of the past, At least the last time I drove past the old place seemed to have vanished. Progress I guess

Oh, shit! How depressing indeed -- I didn't know the whole STADIUM was demolished! My God, why on earth was this done? Were there structural problems?

No, it was just too old to handle world class events anymore, so rather than re-work the old one, we have a lovely new one on the way, Oh joy!

They demolished it because they are going to build a new stadium which can hold 90.000 people

I don't live in the UK but I've been to London very often.
I don't think the Kensington Market still exists. But I'm not sure about that. I've never heard of it anymore though. And I'm sad because of the Wembley towers. I'd have loved to see them!

Wouldn't it be nice to see at least one-half of Queen play at the new stadium once it's completed -- maybe as the first act to be booked/performing?
