Greetings,
Without the time anymore, I sadly have to announce that freddiemercury.net is for sale.
You get the domain name + fully designed site if required with NO COPYRIGHT!
Genuine offers.......

I'd buy the domain but the starting price ($3,500) is way too high.

I've always thought we were doing websites for pleasure? Not for money?
The domain is worth $20 and the content is worth maybe $30 (it's only five sites with text!). Do the math.

Dear Sir,
My name is Peter webb and I am the webmaster for
http://www.freddiemercury.net. Due to other time consuming commitments, I am
sadly no longer able to donate the time needed to keep this project alive.
I am seeking to sell both the domain name (freddiemercury.net) and also the
fully designed site if required.
I'm not looking to make a "quick buck" with this, I am just looking for
someone who has some spare time, an interest in web development and, above
all, a passion to keep the memory of our greatest performer alive.
For both the domain name + website, I am would like offers in the region of
1,800 US$
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you shortly.
Kind regards,
Peter.......

So you're looking for someone who has some sparetime BUT who is also willing to pay almost 2000 bucks for it!? 2000 bucks for a domain and a (poorly designed if I may say) website? If you're REALLY not looking to make some easy money out of it, you should offer the domain for the price you paid for it.

That's a bargain compared to when Mahler wanted to sell queenonline.net on Ebay for $75000 :)

"I'm not looking to make a "quick buck" with this"
LOL :-) Indeed, it's not quick buck, it's silly money.
(If 5 poor pages with text cost $2000, I wonder how much would cost my website fully done in PHP/SQL/CSS2 with thousands of files).

Since I am currently unemployed I have a lot of spare time. I also have an HNC in Multimedia and have been a Queen fan for more years than I can care to remember. So do I qualify? And if I do, can you give it to me for nothing?

a Dot/net page is not worth much
Most people will type in .com before net. If you dont have the time for the page, why not donate it.
Mr. Scully · Member since
This domain name is indeed not much attractive. But William, most people don't care about the domain at all because they either (1.) have the site in the bookmarks or (2.) they find it via google.
I myself only very very scarcely type anything into the address bar.

I'll offer my Pokeman card collection for this site ;)

Well, I can't say too much here, when I owned Queenworld.com it did occur to me to try to sell it, but it made me feel so, OH SO very good to donate it to the Official fan club in exchange for some autographs... to this day I do not regret my decision and I know I made the right choice.
Mr. Scully · Member since
Megamike, that's not a good deal to exchange a domain for a couple of fake autographs ;-)
