I've seen both versions of the video and at first it used to make me cry.

But one day someone pointed out how incredible FM was to face the fact he was dying and to make a video in his frail condition. Think about it, here he is doing what he loves and sounding incredible, whilst Brian, Roger and John having full knowledge of Freddie's impending demise, go on with the charade, if they are not the bravest, most dedicated musicians, I don't know who is. For this they will always have my unfaltering respect forever.

Yeah, when I saw the video for "Days of Our Lives" I couldn`t believe how skinny he was. I have seen a picture of him in colour and he is wearing a lot of make-up. I love the vest he was wearing.

Susan/Kristen was a real hoot! I loved the "wedding" to John/Elvis, especially when she got slugged by a guest (Laura) and her fake teeth flew across the room and landed in the punch bowl!!
Okay, back to the video now...I would love to see the making of the video, no cuts, plus outtakes. Not being morbid but seeing Freddie yet knowing he was in tremendous pain but hiding it really piqued my interest. I saw colour outtakes of TATDOOL and the makeup he had on was hideous in colour, it looked like it was put on with a trowel -- though it was very effective in the right lighting and shot in black-and-white.
God bless Freddie for thinking of the fans despite his pain.

You are absolutely right. The four guys are some of the most brave musicians ever...

I think in the Champions of the World there is a clip of the making of TATDOOL, which shows a very feeble Freddie. And to add on that I wish the footage of the making doesn't make into GVH3 IMO

VH1 is a music channel again??

Oh wait! That's VH1 in th UK...

Geez, too bad because here in the States VH1 became a celebrity gossip channel just like 'E! Entertainment'.

That's a subject that troubles me a great deal. I can hardly sleep for being so disappointed at how after a period of time, channels like this lose their focus.

MTV started it. When I was a kid, they showed videos, and concerts, and the occasional special devoted to an artist. Now I think they have what, something like an hour a day of rap videos?

And dear VH1. We have them to thank for starting the corner logo trend. They were nevertheless, for the longest time a wonderful alternative to MTV.. featuring real music for adults.. then gradually 'Behind the Music' came, and 'Legends'. They did so well that they must have lost focus and thought their audience wanted nothing but programs rather than videos. And I have to agree, they've totally lost it. The majority of their stuff now is celebrities, pop culture stuff, all with minimal MUSIC subject matter. It's sad.

I seem to recall stuff like Entertainment Tonight actually being about movies, television, music as a kid as well. Now it's high profile murder cases, swimsuit photo shoots, supermodel crap. That's entertainment in itself to some folks.. but there's the problem.. they're supposed to report about entertainment, not provide it. That's like CNN anchors murdering folks live on the air to make the news themselves, or something.

I'm not fully awake yet and I'm ranting and going way off subject, but I think my point is.. this culture of celebrity/shock/scandal/anything for ratings we live in now sickens me.

News anchors are 'celebrities' and make the rounds on talk shows giving their own analysis of news stories. Lawyers as well. And common people who get murdered, or who are accused of murder become celebrities too. The Scott Peterson case is a good example. I'm sorry for Lacey, Laci.. whatever her name was.. her family for their loss, but why is hers and her baby's death more newsworthy than the thousands of beautiful minority women who are murdered each day? Because the news media picks a case they think will sell well and they feed it to us in the most titilating manner.

And then there's the American way of news... scare the hell out of people to sell more products. Tell them everything is unsafe, tell them black guys are suspects in crimes in their neighborhood.. well, watch 'Bowling for Columbine' for a much better perspective on this than I can put forward.

We live in a sickening, tabloidy, fake celebrity, fake, fake, fake bullshit world of illusion that's run by very few companies who just want to make money. They own the cable systems we watch, the newpapers we read, the music and movie companies we buy from.

That's why I mostly just watch Game Show Network.

Are you sure you're not Chad, Deacon Fan?

There's more and more similarities between the two of you each day.

I don't know Chad.

If you mean rambling on and on about stuff that nobody would really argue with anyway, I apologize :)

I get all these thoughts in me head... what I percieve to be valid points, logical observances... but they don't translate well from my brain to my fingers. It's like I know what I want to say, but it never comes out right.

Anyway, I haven't heard about a 'Chad' yet. My name is Jake. j/k

And someone stuffing the bride and groom figurine down Roman Brady's throat after someone slit it...you can tell they brought back the old writer (James O'Reilly) back again!
Next thing you know, they're bringing Stefano DiMera back to add to the mix!

"- ROTFL...my sister watches that show (and 'Passions'), so I have to watch it, too. I thought the bit where blood was oozing out of Roman and Kate's wedding cake was a nice touch... *giggle* ;^)"

Caaaaaaaaakeeee.... Mmmmmmm.....

Barry, I just looked at your profile, hoping to see a picture of Freddie...

Boy was I surprised.
