Hehehe Mex started a thread about my favourite kids TV show LOL
So to continue what we were talking about...
I saw the cast of Chavo del 8, except Kiko (who is my fave lol) back in 1990 when they did a concert in Puerto Rico, damn they were fantastic!
Yes they are all old as fuck now esp. Chespirito lol Is he like 90 er something.
What's you fave ep. Mex or anyone that has seen these series?
Mine has to be the one when they neighbourhood puts on a festival and El Chavo makes his poem called "El Perro Arrepentido", and the "Alacran" ep which I saw a few days ago.

... I probably watched it at some point when I was a small fry, but at the moment I only remember watching Hello Kitty and Friends in Spanish, haha.

Chavo del 8 is on Puerto Rican Telemundo on weekends.
I remember having Galavision in our local cable service back in the 80's. My mum and I LOVED that channel. Because of those "El Santo" films, and the Tin Tan films. Pity that we dont have that channel anymore.
Also the Capulina and India Maria films were hilarious.
Another thing, do they used to air soft core porn on that channel? LOL I dont know why, but I remember that they had.

I know most people here would be like... WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?... but there's absolutely no latin person who grew up in the 70s and 80s without watching 'El Chavo Del 8' or any other characters from Chespirito.
In fact, to give you an idea of who we are talking about, the hispanic guy dressed up as a bee in 'The Simpsons' is meant to be a spoof from 'El Chapulin Colorado', who is another Chespirito character.
Saffron Caribou · Member since
Hey Jingles you are right about that, the bee man in The Simpsons is an imitation of El Chapulin Colorado.
BTW do you guys remember Cepillin? That weird looking Mexican hippie clown?

i'll add you to my msn B&Q :D
and I remember Cepillin, I used to like his songs when i was a little mocoso :) , i don't know what happen to him *Singing* en la feria de cepillin me encontre un lindo piano...

El Chavo del 8 and El Chapulin Colorado are classics of the Mexican comedy. Their frases have become part of the everyday language: "callate, callate, que me desesperas!", "se me chispoteo", "no contaban con mi astusia." Que lindos recuerdos.

Ohhhh,so many good memories, now,as far a I know,3 members of them died(Don Ramon,La Bruja,Godines),El Profesor and Chilindrina both have their own circus and Kiko lives in Argentina.
Saffron Caribou · Member since
Really? Godines died? I didn't know :(
He was Chespirito's brother right?
Oh I know that La Chilidrina has a circus. In fact, back in 97 I took my sis to see her, and it was AWFUL! However, she looks great, as if she hasn't aged one bit!
Kiko lives in Argentina?! Wow, didn't know that. There was a strange rumour going around back in the 80's, that he and Chespirito died in the 85' Mexico City Earthquake. Spooky.
