I was just listening to this great album with a high volume and noticed something I hadn't noticed before. Roger's voice is kinda in front of the music. Hope you'll understand what I mean. You'll notice this especially on Tonight. It seems like Roger is standing in your room and singing to you. Great way to mix the tracks!

Yes, I agree.

It seems to be a sort of a trend these days and very noticeable on many albums (Bowie and Elton John etc.)

But listening back to the 70s albums, I prefer the lead vocal to be more in the background than right in the face which seems to be todays style of doing it. But these things are a matter of taste anyway...
