RUFUS WAINRIGHT!

This is the guy! Nobody else in the world would be more qualified to replace Freddie Mercury. If you don't believe me then listen to "Go or Go Ahead" off of his new album "Want One". Each album of his that comes out reminds me of how good this guy would be with Brian and Roger backing him.

I think you'll find I'm best qualified. When I sing people scream.

How good is that?

Rufus Wainwright rocks! :D I have his first two albums and I'm seeing him in concert next month. His stuff is really beautiful and I think he's a very talented singer. One review I read says he is one of like 3 people out nowadays who can match Freddie. :) I somewhat agree.
yay for Rufus! :D

Ahh, but does Brian and Roger agree?? That would be a dream come true. Oh, and get his 3rd album, it's REALLY good like the other two.

<< This is the guy! Nobody else in the world would be more qualified to replace Freddie Mercury. >> My respects for Rufus, but we all know that ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CAN REPLACE FREDDIE MERCURY. Matt Pinfield said it perfectly himself... "There will never be another Freddie Mercury, not in a million years". If George Michael couldn't, then there's no question about Rufus Wainright. I have to admit that Rufus is a great artist. I love the "Beatleish" sound on 'April's Fools'. It's a great song.

Why would Rufus want to front a pair of washed up old has-beens when he's got his own career?

He's currently busy promoting his current double release, I doubt his record company would release him form his duty of promoting his latest album(s)

Having said that - I'd recommend Rufus Wainwright to anyone, he's a very talented singer/songwriter - much like his father.
