Hi friends!i have listened and watched "My Immortal" from Evanescence...and i must say it's a great song.FOr who doesn't know the song is wonderful piano-voice song with the band joining in the finale (well...you should listen it). I used to like bring me to life...but this is even better.The woman singing has a stunning voice and she's very pretty.
what do you think about this song?

Evy is alright, come on I kinda like the vibe, so is lots a thing, just dont start comparing all a dem to the Geniuses that we are in here for,,, no nothing like Queen not in there league, but still these bands nowadays they doing good for themselves, Sweating it out with out too much backing track and infusing a little Rap in rock rock in rap its great!!!

oh...i think we have to distinguish from poor quality bands and music (linkin park for example) to a little number of good bands. Evanescence seems to be a nice band. And the singer's voice is NOT boring at all...very emotional, at least for me.

who knows if Queen in complete formation would have ever tried some song of this way?!?!Queen were always "modern" for their times....
And, last thing..IMO My Immortal is no NU METAL, is a "Normal" ;) ballad

Evanescence is probably the most promising band that has come out in the past 2 years.
Sure you have critics over praising 'The Strokes' or 'The White Stripes' but I bet you that those 2 bands will never become a global music phenomenon.
Now, going back to 'My Immortal' I found the album version to be a little dull, but the new one is excellent. Definitely what they should have done in the first place.

I don't think that any of the new bands will become a global music phenomenon, even if they're great and talented. Global music phenomenons (I like the word) were the Beatles, Queen, Elvis, etc but that will never happen again because there are no bands like those anymore and even if there were, they'd drown between all these "fake stars" that take over the charts and music industry.
My Immortal is better than Bring Me To Life but I'm not too keen on Evanescence.

Evanescence is a band on the raise. Only time will tell how big will they become, but compared to the rest of the new rock bands, they're one of the most likely to suceed.

Hmm...evanescence is okay...I prefer Within Temptation, but that Amy gal is doing pretty damn fine too :D
