I thought fanfiction.net banned band fanfics?

Something to do with privacy and censoring or something like that...

Band Fan Fics were banned by Fan Fiction.Net, because the site feared that they will be sued because of defamation of character. I see this very silly because of two things

1. The word "FICTION". It means not true.

2. Parody writting is protected by the Constitution. If it wasnt we wouldn't have sketch shows like SNL or MadTV
