Of course if this was the entire FM tribute concert, people would feel exactly the same, wouldn't they? Wouldn't they?
But it's nothing special, just a charity gig. Who cares, right? Oh, wait a minute..!
Peace,
Adam.

Think of all the complaints there were when MTV showed a heavily edited version of the concert...
They couldn't cut stuff out of the release and avoid annoying people at the same time. For example, including the Queen medley at the end would please us but would be at the expense of songs that others would want released. The Party At The Palace concert was edited to fit onto 1 CD and Bohemian Rhapsody wasn't included, but I thought it was better than the other Queen songs that were included.
Releasing it in 3 separate sections does seem a bit odd but I guess it's to appeal to people who wouldn't want to pay for the whole concert when all they want is what can be found on one of the CDs. Shame that the Queen stuff is spread out over the 3 CDs though :)
It would be good if there's a discount if you buy all 3 as a set. We'll just have to wait and see.

We're getting into dangerous territory here, folks...
1. There's no proof it ISN'T a 3 CD set.
2. We'd bitch like hell if it was heavily edited
3. We'd bitch even more if any Queen stuff got cut out.
4. If it's played in order, the Queen material automatically falls onto 3 CDs
5. I don't think Queen Prod can be blamed for this one.

Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the CDs. They're £11.99 each. I think I'll just get the DVD.
Edit: The DVD is listed on play.com now.

I still haven't heard absolutly anything from this gig yet! I'm not sure whether I'm keen on all these guest appearances with various artists. PATP was pretty good, but I tink they might be pushing it now.
Anywho, being a casual customer to this release, I would not buy all three CDs, infact, I'd buy none and I'd plug for the DVD instead. If a best of of the concert was released on one or maybe a double CD, I would consider that (and if that was any good, get the DVD too). Definately selling out, only with a good course involved...

Amazon have now reduced the CD prices to £9.99 each, but CD-Wow are selling them for £8.99 each.
There's also a 3 CD-R promo available at www.eil.com but it's £50! (Edit: Just found out someone bought it because it's not in stock now)
A friend of mine told me today that the CDs *will* be released in the US afterall on April 13 by Rhino Records. I haven't checked myself but the Rhino site apparently is listing them.

I think the CD's/DVD will generally be released at 5 April. Does anyone have a idea when the Live Aid DVD will be released??

That April 5th date is for the rest of the world I think, the 13th is for America.
As for Live Aid...it might be a while. They haven't even auctioned the rights off yet.
