Hey, I was watching VH1, and they showed a different version of TATDOOL. It had the same Freddie parts, but instead of the animation there were clips from previous videos (Slightly Mad, I think Bo Rhap and a few others) and tours (Magic tour mostly). Also, the color of the performance part kept kind of changing, not really changing from black and white but kind of increasing in darkness and decreasing. Also, there were these weird little spots of light in the upper-right hand corner during the performance part. Does anyone know if this is another version or if it's a VH1 edit or something?

On VH1 Classic, they have a Request Hour every day at 1PM and 9PM.

I've only seen a black-and-white video and colour stills from the video shoot but no different version than that! I've seen different versions of SMGO but that's about it!

There are four versions according to our very own Darren Robins' site: http://www.btinternet.com/~darren.robins/queen_thevideos/
but this sounds like yet another one.

I know the video your talking about, I've had it on tape for quite some time. I actually asked someone at VH1 about it at the time, and she called back, and from what I remember explained, that the animation in the original was created by Disney, and for some reason in the US, because of copyright or whatever, they couldn't get premission to use it. In memory of Freddie, (remember Vh1 and MTV were obsessed with The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at the time the video began airing here...we got it later, because in the US VH1 and MTV has forgotten Queen had any videos until after Freddie's death, but anyway...) they found it more suiting to replace the animation with clips celebrating Freddie's life. Vh1 also showed a version of "Killer Queen" and same deal, I guess they couldn't get permission from the BBC, and instead showed a video containing only pictures of Queen, with information about them underneath, such as where they went to college, when they were born, their favorite bands, etc... I have that one on tape too :-)

That Killer Queen version (with the pictures and the info about Queen) is taken from Queen Greatest Flix. The first greatest hits video.
