No, it's still not working - I've actually gotten used to not checking it.
I think I nearly broke our computer this evening, which quickly sent me into the depths of despair...but then my sister fixed it. ;^)

Not quite! I turned on a lamp, the lightbulb popped, which was plugged into the surge protector. She just got another surge protector and it worked.
