The overdubs would have been done fairly soon after the concert happened as it was shown on Channel 4 show "The Tube" not long after.

Paris is an early show of that tour and Freddie goes down at We Are The Champions, same position as mentioned above in Wembley. And the next date, Mannheim, he goes very etchy up in the first verse. I don't think it matters if it's an early show or not. More the mood or health (throat) state of Freddie. Or temperature or air quality (sounds ridiculous, I know, but may be).

I also noticed that at the beginning of the last verse when Freddie sings "We are the champions" you hear Roger sing "of the world" as the end of the verse before. You also see him play drums at that time, but not sing.

Its a very high song to sing and coming at the end of a performance I'm not surprised he may have difficulty reaching a note like that !

want overdubs - watch the We will rock you concert from Montreal - don't think there's much of the original vocal on it at all

If you want an album which claims is live but isn't go for KISS Alive which was a studio album with crowd noises added on. When I heard that my love of KISS slowly but surely died! I can't listen to them anymore the same as I used to. Also, the sales of Alive are not 4 million in the US it is only Gold!
Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound of Thunder, PULSE and Is There Anybody Out There, on the other hand, had fixing in the studio but the fixing came from pulling parts from different shows as David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Rick Wright refused to re-record anything in the studio. Also, Pulse and Is There Anybody Out There co-producer/engineer James Guthrie said "thanks to Pro-tools we could take parts from other shows and put them into performances we want released and no one came in during the mixing to record anything" as the PULSE album was recorded during the whole European leg on Pink Floyd's 1994 tour and Is There Anybody Out There was recorded from the 1980/81 Wall performances at London's Earls Court. During the mixing sessions of PULSE, David Gilmour and his wife Polly Samson had their first child together son Joseph so Dave was spending time with family. Nick Mason went off to do auto racing events and Rick Wright went off sailing in the Mediterranean. Pro-tools today can work wonders whereas in the 1970s re-recording in the studio was the only way to go!

Two words: Who cares?
If Ashlee Simpson can lip-sync an entire performance AND still be popular, a few overdubbed sour notes over a 16-year live career are easily forgiven.
We love ya, Frederator. ;)
