Over the top american preacher-type guy in a big town hall...

"Right folks, I is gonna ask you 3 questions, and I want 3 damn honest answers!"

"Raise you hands if youve seen a ghost!"

about 100 people raise their hands...

"Raise your hands if you've TOUCHED a ghost!"

about 20 people raise their hands...

"and finally, raise your hand if youve HAD SEX with a ghost!"

all hands stay down except for a guy at the back of the hall, jumping up and down like a madman with his hand in the air...

"Come up onto the stage you crazy bastard! You mean to tell all these people here that you had sex with a ghost!?!?"

"ghost? oh fuck sorry i thought you said goat"

I don't know if you believe it or not (it's your own business) cause even I don't know how to believe it. But at my aunt's place, one relative, who lived on her flat, died. before dying she went insane. A little after that old woman dying, aunt and her sons started to hear strange noise upstairs. Like somebody is walking and moving furniture. First they thought that it passes, but it didn't. They did all - they put branches of rowan in that woman's old home, cause aunt read, that it helps. But they still heard those noises. Finally they called priest who put holy water in this place. And they didn't hear those noises anymore

I don't believe in God. But I believe in ghosts. And yet this story seems so unbelieveble to me

I don't know what I believe or think. However my family has some stories like this. Such as my father, who never believed in anything like this before, but now has somehow changed his point of view. He was in England, in London I believe, for some meetings, when this drastical change happened to him. They were walking, him and some workmates and an English guide, to their hotel. Dad had been asking about one place in particular, where they had been earlier, and the guide pointed out the direction there and rambled on about it. Apparently, this was a place a little bit outside of London. Anyway, as they walked, my father started feeling unwell. There had been trouble at home before he left, that with my sister having mental problems which at that time was not handled by any medication, and he worried about it. He got a strong feeling of sickness and dizzyness just as they crossed a "bridge" going over traffic, and he slowed down behind the others and leaned over the fence. In his dizzy state, some images went through his mind - a dress, a girl, and the girl being stabbed in the stomach with a knife. He got scared to death, he was sure what he had seen meant my sister had been doing something to me (my sister was really sort of "dangerous" at that time, such thing was not impossible). However he kept his mouth shut, he had nothing but these "pictures" to rely upon, and he returned to the hotel. When there, he phoned home to us and got to know that everything was OK. Returning to the others, they were talking about the place which they had been visiting earlier, the place the guide had pointed out and talked about earlier. On the radio, they had just heard that two girls had been killed up there, by knife.

I'm not sure if this was dad having certain "powers" or just pure coincidence, and nor is my father himself. However the episode scared him. He also likes telling stories about once I apparently read his mind as a child when I was really sick, and mom points out a lot of "strange coincidences" he's had. There's a story going about my grandfather haunting my house, but that I have never experienced.

My sister says there's ghosts here though, and she had some really strange episodes as a child. It might be that she is mentally ill, but sometimes I wonder if there's not something she knows which we don't. Once as a child, mom and dad was watching a scary-movie in the livingroom while she slept upstairs. At a scary scene, where both mom and dad jumped in their chairs, she started screaming REALLY loud. She calmed when mom went upstairs, but then dad jumped from a new scene of the movie, and immediately she screamed again and this time didn't stop. She also woke up almost every night when she was a bit older, pointing at the window and saying "man" inbetween screaming, not calming till they took her out of the room.
She also looks like a reincarnation of a relative of my grandmother (this relative being long gone now). We have a black/white photograph of this relative at my grandparent's house. We have never told my sister for fright of insulting/scaring her, but looking at that picture is like looking at a photograph of her - they're so identical it scares me.

What a great topic. I believe in it totally - 100%. And I had my last ghostly exprience 2 weeks ago. I was in the changing room at work and a chair scraped along the floor on its own, I was on my mobile phone to my bro at the time and he heard it. I shot out of the room and my boss was walking down to get changed and I told him what had happened. My old boss had a heart attack and died in there in front of all the workers in April last year so ive always been a bit weary whenever ive been in there alone! Anyway, I told my boss what had happened and he said that there had been 2 other 'sightings' earlier on that day. The wood worker and the cleaning lady had both seen ghostly figures and then it happened to me with the chair! I shit myself. Last week we had a priest in at work and he performed an excorsism and said that the warehouse was very 'active'!!!! I dont think that it was my boss as we had always had unexplainable things happening on nightshift, we have worked on nights for 4 years and its great, always very spooky!!! Hope our resident hasnt left us otherwise things could get quite boring!!!

I don't believe in ghosts, at least in the ordinary way they are described. But i believe each human has a soul.

I do not believe in ghosts.
Are souls and ghosts the same thing?
I can believe in souls ,but not the wandering-after-death kind.
