Harmless question about Brighton Rock

I'm sure this has been asked a million times. Still I'm bored, and evil enough to ask it. >:D

The fair ground-ish music in the beginning. What's that song called? I've heard it before in films. So I'm curious.

Perhaps I'm going deaf or something, but I always heard
"Keep bumping man! It's Hammer Time" during the speaking parts during the fair ground music, just as the actual song is begining. Now, the Hammer Time thing I've always found it funny. Oddly enough I bought SHA back in late '91, during the MC Hammer era. LOL

Also has anyone thought that Freddie had a nice rack in the SHA sleeve, and then realise that it's one of Roger's cymbals? :P

The whistled bit is "Beside the seaside", echoing the end of SSOR on the previous album.

The rest of it is random fairground music.

Which was also used on a Who album a few years earlier I believe...

I think somebody discovered it was also on a Genesis/Peter Gabriel album, or something like that.

I've also heard it used in some kind of horror film, although I can't remember too much about the film.

Regardless, it's been discussed on here numerous times and no-one's ever actually pinpointed where this music comes from.

That's the Horror Movie "The House On The Haunted Hill" wonderful movie! :D

Of course, even if anyone from the record company had noticed (which I don't think they did ! - Jack was already long gone) - they wouldn't have stopped us because it was their own product"

I was gonna add that the film was about some kind of haunted house on a hill, but thought that sounded too much like "The House On The Haunted Hill", which I didn't think I'd seen.

I once heard this beginning bit of Brighton Rock on a TV commercial for some amusement park. No joke! It had to cut out before the guitar came in, naturally...

That little tidbit must be public domain. Few years ago I was involved in film production, and while I was doing editing I was using a lot of CD's featuring sound effects. One of those sound effects was that intro and it was labeled as 'Carnival ambience' (something or other).

Guitar Hero: Actually there is more to it than what is on Brighton Rock...I can't remember how much more though....

I've never figured out what the voices are saying, but I'm damn sure i hear a whip. true?
