Hi there

Does anyone who plays guitar own a delay machine? I've got the Brian Starlicks video and at the end of it he recommends getting one so I'm looking into it - how much do you think the best but least expensive one would be?

Cheers

Get a Boss stomp box and you wont be disapointed. I think they are around £70+ perhaps? But they are top class quality.

The Korg guitar multi effects unit (sorry, can't remember the type number!) has got the facility for the double delays just like Brian. I meep meaning to buy it but never get round to it. I've got an old mid 80's delay machine, it's okay but it's prone to going wildly out of control. I believe the Boss delays are supposed to be good.

Which Korg you on about? I have the AX100G and I can get something very close to the delay, but not perfect - great for home use. This little devise also lets me get close to Brian's sound too. I haven't had a go of the Boss ones, but I've had a go of a DigiTech which couldn't do the two delays, you would need two in tandem. Basically get yourself down to geetar shop and try out what they have!

Good luck mate!

Ah!

Sorry, it's just that when I read 'Delay Machine', I was all set to offer sage counsel concerning techniques to prolong your lovemaking.

You've missed out there.

I think it's the slightly newer version of the Korg that you mention, I think they have brought out a slight update to it. It was certainly pretty close, but not perfect as you say.

Probably the 1000 or 1500G... I don't think anything beats getting a couple of modded Echoplexes or a specialist digital delay rack thingie - but that means money!

Flashman - you can still share you secrets if you want! ;-)
