what happend to freddie's cats when he died?

I heard freddie mercury loves cats and he has lots of cats in his home so i wonder what happened to them when he died.

Mary kept them around but I'm sure by now they've probably all died.

One of the most emotional passages in Jim Hutton's book deals with him sneaking around (after he'd been thrown out)and calling to the cats to spend a little time with them and then eventually they just stopped coming. :(

They were buried alive with Freddie's ashes.
