I love Garfield, I have a big collection of almost all the books. The show was fun, and I'm sure Bill Murray will put a lot of soul into the voice of Garfield just like Lorenzo Music did when he voiced Garfield on the 80s TV series. However the animation looks kinda crappy, they should have done an animated Garfield movie and not a live action flick with a CG Garfield.
Hope they don't do the same thing for 'The Simpsons' movie and they will stick for traditional animation.
There's also rumors going around about a 'Family Guy' movie, but Seth McFarlane said that for now the production team is concentrating mainly on the new episodes to be aired on TV in 2005. Although I think he mentioned that if there's a movie, the plot might be having Stewie realizing that he's gay. Sounds like fun.
