Well, makin out with your best friend isn't actually the best thing to do;) but who knows, it could work. You should talk to him, one on one, and force him to tell you the truth about what he feels. If it really was a bet, he is nothing but a little bastard and you should, at least, give him a big nice kick in his ass. In that case, he isn't, and never was your friend cause real friend would never do to you sth like that. But it probably isn't the reason. I really doubt he did it because of the bet, maybe he's just too shy to let everybody know that he actually likes you. You will only find out if you talk to him. Good luck:))
