Mike (Cherry) from Toronto posted today that WWRY was announced officially as coming to Toronto in May 2005. That post disappeared with the changes to the board. However Brian states on his web site that nothing is official yet with the Toronto production so someone has jumped the gun here. (Not Mike, he got his info from the same source I read this morning.)

P.s. - Brian says that it is not going to be a touring performance in T.O.. Does that mean that is is going to be here for a long time with local talent?

I think it seems to be long term Cherry. Most Mirvish productions run for a long time so I'd imagine it'd be a base similar to what's going on in London. How's the drumming coming along?
It's coming along great!!! Got another lesson tonight. My teacher is the original drummer from Canadian great Platnum Blonde!!! I'm bringing in News of the World tonight!!!!

Cool, we'll ahve to get Guitar Hero and jam some time!
I can shake a mean tambourine.
Hey Big Black, what part of Canada are you from??
Sounds like a great idea. I'm in if you guys are!
By the way, I've been in contact with Brian when I was talking about auditioning for the Las Vegas WWRY, and he said himself that Toronto is definitely ON. Because he said that, I'll just audition then, and save a hell of a lot of money.

I believe you used to have an e-mail address on your profile Mike, and I believe that means that as a City of Toronto employee you work for me and should not be using company time to as such questions. ;)
Mike is from the Hammer.

Cherry, it's my job to make sure people don't slack off on my watch. I'm at Bayview and the 401. I've just e-mailed Guitar Hero (Bob), he's got my e-mail address since his is published and I don't want to post mine here. I've told him that maybe the 3 of us could hook up and play some time, I'm not in his league as a guitarist but am decent enough.
Hey Cherry and BigBlack let me know if you get any news about WWRY coming to Toronto. I live in Burlington. Even better let me know if any news of Brian or Roger coming to Toronto. I saw Queen in 1982 at the Gardens. They were awesome.
Cooooooool, another close-by Queen fan. :)
I heard the Maple Leaf Gardens '82 show wasn't great. Apparently the atmosphere was lacking, as most people were hoping to hear more early stuff. I once talked to someone who attended, saying that the only time people got excited and ran up to the stage was for TYMD, near the end of the show.
