Hello y'all! Hmmm, this is my first post and I have no better suggestion than to start this topic... Sorry to all diehard members who may have seen and answered this topic a dozen times. It is just something that interests me very mucha... have to say I'm fascinated with the Hot Space-era (leave it up to you wether I consider it a good or bad one), so I bought a bootleg containing every Hot Space track that was played live. Something I rarely do since I'm not to fond of boots. Anyway, think The Hero is a great opener, love Put Out The Fire/Body Language and Staying Power and esp. Life Is Real live! Any thoughts on Queens setlists in general?
Is this a nice topic or is it not? Gimme me tha juice, cheerz y'all,
Shun It

This has been discussed before but, who cares? I like the Hot Space setlists too. Most of the Hot Space tracks are so much better live than in the studio.

Was wandering 'bout that myself! Don't have a clue...
Cheerz! What about them setlists? Songs that should've played live more often? Bored to death with songs? Blablabla...

They should've performed Queen 2 live in it's entirely, with KYA, GKR and Liar as encores in 1974 :P
probably not possible to perform those tracks live though :)

They used a cradboard setlist once - that was quite good.
Personally I prefer the ones printed on T shirts....after every song they had to stand one behind each other to find out what to play next.

The News of the World tour setlist was my favorite. That beautiful medley! My least favorite set list: probably the Magic Tour. No wait, my least favorite setlist was the two Montreux lip-synching appearances on GVH2!!!!

I like the Queen II/Sheer Heart attack playlist...especially when Freddie says Ogre Battle.
'And here's a nice little number from Brian May..Ogre Bat-tle!

I think Queen I is the album with the highest number of songs played live (All except Fairy King)
(And i don't count Seven Seas of Rhye)

I think their most effective setlists were the NOTW and Jazz ones, speaking from a US perspective. After that, their US shows were Game and/or HS tracks, plus a few old hits.
From a European perspective, the Magic setlist was right on the money. Although I enjoy the rock and roll covers very much, I think they could have brought back a few old songs, like Spread Your Wings or '39.

1974, after SHA- I love all those tracks they dropped from the set later on...
Also 1976-77 (ADATR and NOTW) sets were really, really great
