Could someone explain exactly what a bootleg or pirate record is. I thought it was illegal products, but I have just discovered that Queen in Nuce and Pre ordained are bootlegs but I got them from HMV. I am confused. Help.

A bootleg is a fan recorded show, or one that has been 'leaked' out from the soundboard recordings. Also one that does not have an official lable such as EMI and so on. This also applys to studio recorded things like the Hot Space demos. I consider those bootlegs as well. Hope this helped :)
