Two Sharp Pencils
Hello: Today I was using my Internet Explorer but doing anything unusual, while Zone Alarm requested me to allow the "Realtime Audio Engine" (to be exactly, the file mmrtkrnl.exe) to access the internet. I denied it because I don´t remember installing that software and besides that I was only browsing ebay and it never needs the Realtime Audio Engine! Then I scanned my PC with two antiviruses: AVG and Norton, both updated with the latest virus definitions, and the Lavasoft Ad-Aware. No virus were found and only the usual cookies were detected by the Ad-Aware. I´d only like to know if this is unusual or if it could be a virus that none of my AV´s detected... I have three files in my Windows directory that seem to be related with this: mmrtkrnl.exe, mmrtkrnl.dll and mmrtkrnl.vxd. I couldn´t find very much useful information in the internet, and I´d really appreciate some help because I am a little worried, although I think that it´s no big deal. Thanks!!
