Thanks for letting me join. I logged in using DC++ today... and tried to connect to other users.. to no avail.
It keeps saying "connecting" and "connection timeout" without actually doing anything else.
I messaged the operator but he/she doesn't seem to be answering me...
Any idea?

Maybey you're in passive mode and you trying to download an another user who is also in passive mode. That doesn't work try to look for that.
Also if you can't connect to a user maybey he his slots are all busy so you have to wait for a free slot.
More info try to contact the operators like Main Opperator Bokkepoot

Interestingly, got fixed through changing my setting to passive....

No problem! My computer crashed at the precise moment and I had to go off and sleep...
