is it true that brian and the foo fighters recordered a cover of 'have a cigar' by pink floyd?

It was released in 2000 (I think!) on the Mission Impossible film soundtrack. It's quite good :-)

During a concert Brian and the Foos also played "Now I´m here" together - great!

Aah, I like the Foos. Well, Queen fans= can do no wrong in my eyes. And their videos are class, too.
Was it their... drummer(?) who recognised the White Queen sound when they wre working with Brian. Impressed, I must say.
Previously known as 'Poodle Permed'.

Speaking of Foos, does anybody here have the Foo Fighters version of Sheer Heart Attack with Roger on drums?

Actually, talking of Brain and the Foo's or in this case Nirvana, reminded me of the time that Dave Grohl recounted about the time when Nirvana were had just released "Rape Me" as a single and had threatened to perform it live at that years Grammy Awards, despite being asked not to. They played a few opening bars, but then stopped and played something else instead. But Krist Novoselic, in his infinite wisdom, decided at the end to throw his bass up in the air - only to miss it on the way down. it promptly hit him on the head and knocked him out.

"All I could see from my drums was this melee of people on stage. But by the time I got down to help him, I couldnt find him!! After searching for him, I eventually found him backstage at the bar drink champagne with Brian May from Queen!!!"

Rock 'n' Roll or what!!

There is a SHA live version by the Foo Fighters in the hub but I don't know if it's with Roger on drums.
I do not want any google ads here.

The date is correct. But is it Roger on drums or not? I really don't know.

LOL, Dave spoke of this incident on VH1's Greatest TV Moments. It was hilarious and, in retrospect, kind of sad. The entire band (Nirvana, not the Foos, even though the Foos are too) were huge Queen fans. Cobain had a Queen poster in his first apartment and considered News Of The World a great.

I think Brian should perform with the Foon Fighters more often, personally. They work well together. And dammit, they'll stalk him if he doesn't, so why not? :D
