Can we have a 'Darkness' forum?

For those who like them (which I see many of you do) it would be the perfect place to share topics about the band.

And for those who don't like them that much, it'd be good to no longer see the Queen and Personal forums being constantly bombarded with topics about the 4 Queen wannabes.

Ah be greatful a band likes them enough to incorporate Queen's style you jerk.

Would you rather them be just another boy band?

Anyway, they are great musicians in their own right.

Hmmmm... I don't know about this. We're a Queen forum, after all, and I think we should stick to exactly Queen. There are many people here who are fans of the same bands other than Queen, yet we do not have countless of forums for artists such as Elton John, or to take a Queen-wannabe; Valensia. We don't have one for 5ive, though they took WWRY, and we don't have one for Williams, S-club 7 or Britney, either. So, can't say I think this is a good idea.

Thanks for your kind words Jasen, but it seems like you think that The Darkness is the only band Queen has influenced. Do I need to mention all of them for you?

The difference between The Darkness and the rest of all those bands, is that although influenced by Queen the big majority of them have an original sound of their own that at least gives them a musical identity.

I believe the Personal forum is large enough for both Darkness and non-Darkness topics. I like the Darkness but obviously not to the extent others here do. However, allocating an entire forum to one certain band that isn't Queen on a Queen notcie board is absurd.

I don't find that in a Queen fan webpage could be a The Darkness Forum.

Wonder if they're so gaga about this band on AC/DC, Def Leppard, and KISS ngs? I hear so many 'stolen' chords from these bands on the LP, especially the finish of 'Love On The Rocks'. Note for note of KISS' 'Black Diamond'.

Perhaps they're big on Eminem's as well, since they seem to love using the term 'MF'. Or Tiny Tim NGs, for all the yodelling Hawkins does.

gawd, we're glad we couldn't get tickets for their DC gig. Not after finally giving them a couple of listens

I hate the darkness, But, I also don't really think it matters if anyone posts about them here. With or without a darkness forum. There's a little thing called freedom of speech... though, I'm never really sure it exists. Anyway, Let them talk! This is the personal section of a notice board, That's what they're for. Anything that ISN'T the main subject of the board. And as for the posts in the Queen forum, I doubt they would stop even WITH a darkness forum. People see some connection between the two bands, and they will keep talking about it for a looooooooong time. Just ignore them. OR post snide remarks about the darkness.;D Beside that, It would just be a huge waste of Richard's time. Making a darkness forum, while people who like the darkness still post in the other sections. I think the darkness would pop up sooner rather than later, Don't you?

I say we implement this based on the fact that nobody picked up on the sarcasm. That'll learn you all.

Turn this into a Darkness forum and I will leave.

uhm...i don't like so much the Darkness...but i can stand the positive topics about them.Well, making a whole forum about them is too much i think :)
