Thanks guys! (Btw. yes it is legal in Alberta, Canada to drink, smoke, and do other stuff at 18. I won't be able to drink at my mom's in Ontario this summer though when I go to visit, because of their legal age (19, like Cossette said)
But I had a wonderful birthday, even though I lost my job shortly before on spring break. At least I had a $338 Cdn. paycheck cashed in on my birthday, so I went and spoiled myself. I went and bought:
Paul McCartney - Animation & Music Collection DVD (can't remember the proper title - I liked this one)
t.A.T.u. - Screaming For More (DVD)
The Lion King 1 1/2 Soundtrack (CD)
Pokemon 3 The Ultimate Soundtrack (CD)
"Weird Al" Yankovic - Bad Hair Day (CD)
+ a 25-disc DVD-R spindle, since my mom had given me enough money the week before for a brand new DVD 8x+/4x-R/2xRW (40x CD-R/12x?RW) Sony DRU-530A recorder to replace my shitty 4x CD-R burner (that I was reminded recently she had bought for my birthday in 2000 a year before she moved out)
And then my dad and his girlfriend (who just moved into our house recently, with her 3 boys and 11-yr-old cat "Mustard") got me a 10-pack of Memorex DVD+R discs, and a new wonderful DVD storage rack. I got $35 from people at school combined, and $5 in Tim Horton's gift certificates (mmm, Iced Cappucinos and blueberry cream cheese bagels! :9), and my teacher held a pizza party for me and a friend whose birthday was not too far from mine, and it was just almost the people in my room (5 students including myself, our special needs assistant, our school's social worker, and my homeroom teacher who at St. Joe's is really a Teacher Advisor in our terms) - that was on Friday, the pizza party. And then later at my place also on Friday, I had two friends over for movies and pizza's (my dad bought 4 different large pizzas for us 3, himself and his girlfriend, and my sisters), and last night my dad's girlfriend's sister gave me a $20 Best Buy gift card which I used to get the newly remastered George Harrison CD "Cloud Nine" which I otherwise have on vinyl.
Other than the fact that I'm still waiting for my grandparent's card and present in the mail, I had a wonderful birthday with lots of presents and money. And what surprised me was that even my sisters were actually nice towards me for my birthday! :)
Of course I can't wait to get back to school on Monday tomorrow and ask a girl I like out to see Harry Potter 3 when it comes out June 4th ;)

Good to hear you had such a good time, it really sounded great from your post. Spoiling oneself is a wonderful feeling, isn't it? ;-)
Main point of posting once more, was to wish you luck on inviting out that girl. Keep us updated on how that went! :-)
