I've already posted this on the main board, but to no joy, so if anyone hasn't read it, here it is again: I've got at least one version of every live track Queen performed (excluding covers, e.g. Tutti Frutti, Jailhouse Rock etc.) apart from three songs - Great King Rat, Machines (intro) & It's A Hard Life. If anyone by any chance has a live version of these, I'd be interested in negotiating a deal where you'd let me have a copy of said tracks in exchange for any live tracks that you don't have - please note, UK based traders only.
If you can help, e-mail me at : perry02@globalnet.co.uk

Do you also have the full Side Black Medley, performed on the first night of the Queen II tour in 1974?

I don't have that, no - I'll send you an e-mail detailing what I have and don't have, hopefully they'll be something that you need and are interesting in trading for.:)

is there...a full side black medley?????
Pim Derks · Member since
They performed it once, and the recording of that show is extremely rare.... Some people claim to have it though....

This has got to be an urban legend. I just can't believe it. Who are these mysterious 'some people'?

Cool, I didn't know I have an ambassador... ;) Good lad!

there's apparently a lot that may or may not exist that goes unheard of to most people...

OMG :-)

I can't believe people fall so easily for something as stupid as a full live version of Side Black. Of course that doesn't exist - how would they be able to reproduce, for example, Fairy Feller live on stage?
Saint Jiub · Member since
Greg Brooks indicated in Rare Live that The Fairy Fellers Masterstroke may have been played on March 1, 1974 ...

Greg Brooks also said that the book is full of errors...

But Greg Brooks apparently thought it was worthy of being in his book, so apparently he is a gullible sod too.
Until recently - not too many knew that Jesus and The Night Comes Down were played live (see Mr. Scully's site), then combine that with the published information in Rare Live - and the Black Side medley might sound plausable.
Plus the fact that Pim did not have the reputation of being a wind up artist ...
Congrats Pim - you got me - but then again I'm a gullable sod anyway - so don't lose your head.

Hehe, let's hope we'll someday know if it does exist after all...
I'm just getting a bit tired with all these newbies coming to Queenzone thinking anyone is actually interested in their uninteresting (mp3-sourced?) collection.
Saint Jiub · Member since
Pim - Isn't that a bit harsh? Do you remember when your collection was "uninteresting"? I don't believe that his request was aimed at you, but more at newbies like himself. Surely, there are other newbies more deserving of bashing (Is Freddie gay?).
