BAN IT!! WHY???????????????????????????????????

apparently 'let me live' was banned by bbc radio1. Any1 no why??

Didnt know it was...if it was, it was probably because it wasnt 'hip' enough for Radio 1, and played on Radio 2. Besides, Radio 2 is miles better.

I heard it was too old fashioned.

Those weirdos. I second that thought, BMW. Radio1? Who cares anymore.

Wonder if it has anything to be with the alleged threats of a lawsuit against Queen for using the line "Take A Piece Of My Heart", which is from a very popular Janis Joplin song.

This was mentioned here before. One of the reasons someone said was because Freddie was dead and he was singing "let me live"

Never really liked Radio 1 anyway, or any of the BBC radio stations.

Radio 1 started going down hill in the mid 80s, in the 90's it went from bad to worse, don't know now, haven't got it tuned in anymore.

It was banned because Radio 1 didn't think Queen were cool enough to be played on their station. They also felt the song was old fashioned which is strange cos its real music rather than the shite they usually play (Busted etc.)
Radio 1 also refused to play any songs by Status Quo or The Rolling Stones too.

I hate Radio 1, they are practically guilty of chart rigging...they play some singles 10 times a day if its on their 'A-List' and some singles are played once a week or ignored completely if its on their C-List.
They also employ idiotic know-all DJ's like Sara Cox and Jo Whiley.

Well, let's face it. The music industry likes having them in their pocket!
