I think there are many songs, Bohemian Rhapsody for example, that would have sounded a lot better sung by John.

Teo Torriate would have worked so nice in a Sail Away Sweet Sister kind of way. I mean Fred singing the middle eight ("when I`m gone...")
I don`t think Brian`s voice is any good this century. Just note his incredibly huge weakness in `No One But You` at Amsterdam (e.g. "face at the wiiiiiiindow"), or his multi-out-of-pitch notes in Too Much Love at Modena.
I prefer Brian in the AW tour even if he didn`t sing so well there. In fact I don`t know how good did he sound in BTTL tour since Brixton Academy CD has studio overdubs so he could have pitched the vocal or replace some parts.
And continuing with the IWIA thing, it`s obvious that Fred had a much stronger voice, but that`s why I mean it would have worked wonderful. Some wonderful music is made out of contrasts, for example Bo Rhap (note the sudden change of arrangement between "I`m just a poor boy nobody loves me" and "he`s just a poor boy from a poor family"), so in that song it would be nice to put a "normal" singer in the verses and chorus and then in the bridge throw a superb one. Just like Sail Away Sweet Sister. I`d have loved Fred to sing the bridge of Resurrection for the same reason
