I have just spent the weekend at my sister's house after she called me about a problem with her computer - it was running slow and acting up & she wanted a cd re-writer fitted.

Her daughters had been accessing the internet, without basic firewall or anti virus protection for the last 2 years, and I found 406 viruses and 185 spyware problems!

Anyone beat that?

Class.
Mind you, I wouldn't be surprised to find something similar on my computer.

Bob - What did you use to detect the viruses and spyware?

Mike - I used Norton's, Avast, Adaware 6 & Spybot Search & Destroy.

Zeni - the culprits were my 14 & 17 year old nieces, so no porn! Loads of downloads from Napster though.

I think viruses avoid mine cos it's SO slow. It took about four hours to download 19 security updates the other week (obviously I regularly check that it needs updating).

I've got a special device for mine - it's called a wooden mallet and I swear one day I'll use it!

LOL

To err is human, to really foul things up takes a computer.
Yes, it's me. I'm back. I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on a disk somewhere

I'm sure Flashman the old loafer has more than 406 viruses. Mind you he does right.
