Not only is he a drummer in several bands (including Duran Duran), but he's an ex tennis international, an author and now an academic at Leicester University, as you can see in the credits of Brian's (I would say marvellous but stereo photography doesn't really float my boat) piece on stereo churches. You have to scroll right down to the bottom to catch the bugger.

....and our 'hiding' Deacon John has been busy for years playing the blues in New Orleans. He must have enjoyed that 'Jazz' concert so much in '78, that he took up permanent residency once NOBY was finished.
