Does anyone know if the 3 video set has ever been made available on dvd anywhere? There is a a dvd for sale on ebay, but I can't find it anywhere else on the net.
Thanks

That are "Magic Years Trilogy" VHS converted in DVD format, they're copies from original VHS

Something I'll be doing myself. I suppose, if the quality's good and you don't have the right equipment to do it, it's not a bad idea.
But I do wonder if it will be released on dvd. It's not an easy one to answer.
Peace,
Adam.

I have it on DVD, but it was taken from VHS.

Haven't seen the DVD set myself, but I would imagine it's taken from laserdisc rather than VHS. I had the laserdisc set years ago :)

"The Magic Years" will never be officially released on DVD. It ends in 1986 for pete's sake.
Any documentary that gets a DVD release will either be something brand new or an updated version of "Champions of the World."

That's a bit unfair, Michael. I've always thought of Champions as an extension of the magic years vids. And just because of when it ends up, doesn't make it any less credible. If they re-released it back in 2003 on VHS, I'm sure they can do the same for dvd.
But then I think of the Beatles anthology. And maybe, just maybe, they're going to put all the docu stuff into an anthology type release. So, maybe it's being saved for now. Wouldn't it be great to get a docu like the Beatles one?? Full of detail and with much more. Mmm....
Peace,
Adam.

They were rubbish on video, I don't suppose they'll be doing them on DVD.
Mind you, they gave us GHIII so maybe nothing's beyond them!

I ordered the same one from Ebay! It's quite good! I've watched it, and although the actual film looks old, it is an excellent documentary. It seems official too because it has a cover and everything. I recommend it :)

How VERY naive of you.
Anybody can scan and convert an old VHS cover into a DVD cover. I've done this myself for some of my personal Queen DVDs.
