Anyone watch the Star Trek Enterprise season finale? WTF happened at the end? Nazis, WW2 fighter planes etc? Did they mix a bad episode of Sliders with a Quantum Leap outtake? Seems like they "jumped the shark" big time in an ill-advised attempt to provide a cliffhanger ending.

I like the Angel series but, to be honest, it has been going downhill for a while. Wheedon (sp?) says the decision to have Angel join Wolfram & Hart was partly to do with Wheedon's experiences at Fox, which is very interesting indeed. But IMO that didn't pan out as far as plots go for the series. Instead we had see-through plot devices like bringing back Harmony and Spike. Plus, Connor is akin to Wesley Crusher, Neelix or Keiko O'Brien - annoying oiks who should've been written out as soon as it became clear the audience hated them.

Warren Ellis - isn't he the writer of The Invisibles comic book? I read a few of those about 5 years ago and they were rather good. Anyway, he's as ill-tempered and grumpy as I am it seems. Must check out some more of his work :)
