Tim Henman?

The semi-finals?

The French Open?

Odd stuff, considering a blind man with a stick could usually beat "our Tim" on clay. Has the world gone stark, staring mad?

It'll be Gustavo Kuerten winning Wimbledon next...

I shall respond to the only part of your post that I can offer a solid factual answer to:

'Has the world gone stark, staring mad?'

Probably, but it doesn't make any difference. A player who is usually about as effective on clay as an elephant would be at water polo making the last four of the world's premier clay court tournament is still very strange.

Well done to him, though. :-)

I've never known that Tim can play more styles then serve volley. He surprises the world with great performances, but against Coria he has no chance at all. 6-1 6-3 6-2 I think.
I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY

Well that's the point, isn't it? He's not playing a different style. Usually when he goes to France he tries to slog it out from the back with the bassliners and that's never going to work because he's always going to come off second best against a dedicated bassliner.

But now he's suddenly decided he has nothing to lose by serving and volleying on clay, and with the draw opening up for him, it seems to have done him very well.

Odder even than Tiger Tim's performance is that of our very own Sir Archie Leach beating yours truly this week 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 (the knees aren't up to 5 setters these days) to end his personal three years of hurt.

I have a list of excuses at the ready, but this box could never be big enough.

I'm impressed that he came from 2 sets down as well, if that was a Wimbledon semi he'd have been a dead man walking.

I think he broke too early in the second set - it never seemed if he would be able to serve that one out, somehow.

But it was a very exciting game to watch, and I thought at one stage when it was 3-0 in the fourth that he wasn't going to win another game. I am disappointed it didn't go to a fifth as I think it would have been very exciting, but hey ho.

I was surprised at Nalbandian's collapse in the first semi - as soon as he lost the second set from 5-1 up he just completely died on his arse.

Coria to win the final comfortably, I reckon.

Interesting that the final of the Mens at Wimbledon is on the same day as the final of Euro 2004.

Henman or England won't be there, but my heart says yes.
Guess who's back?

I have to say that i'm happy for the first all-Argentine final in Grand Slam history!
Watch out, Wimbledon, that's the next step! ;)
