I need to get out of here

Tomorrow I am leaving this place to go to Georgia for the summer, and I honestly could not be more relieved. My mom and stepdad had a major falling-out. And my mom keeps hinting that they're going to split. I have no idea what's going on, and I've had the shit scared out of me. I've never seen them row like that before.

I know some of you have dealt with this stuff before. Please, help me out. I don't want to go through this again.

Sorry to hear about your recent troubles, Mandy. There really is not much you can do to prevent your mom and step-dad's splitting up if they turn out to be set on doing so, but you can always continue to hope for the best.

Try not to get involved, get on with your own thing the best you can - and absolutely don't take sides - there are always 2 sides to every story.

I did this when my parents divorced.
