FREDDIE FILM RUMOUR

Another Freddie film rumour doing the rounds.....

From todays Sunday News (New Zealand):

"A new musical movie is being planned on the life of the late rock star Freddie Mercury. Several actors are being considered to play the flamboyant singer. The current favourite is Eric McCormack, who plays a gay character on the hit TV series "Will And Grace"."

I remember reading that awhile ago somewhere...

I really don't think he could play Freddie, though.

The logic must be: he played a fag in a tv-show, he is a perfect choise to play any fag.

I don't think anyone can play Freddie for that matter... I mean they'd need to get real little and have teeth put in... no, it just couldn't work.

Well, certainly he'd be a tough role but I think my personal choices would be Fez from That 70's Show or Ewan McGregor.

No one's really going to look like him and you have to get someone who'd be a good balance between looking like him and acting like him.

My two cents.

Alicia Sliverstone could play Roger;)

Bahahaha! I always thought Roger looked a little too convincing in that schoolgirl uniform...

I wouldn't hold your breath - the Sunday News is like the Mirror, or perhaps the Daily Mail.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Wrong, wrong, WRONG choice of casting. They should use someone with a bit more personality, perhaps an unknown who performs Queen songs weekly at gigs in Texas...
May I nominate Gregory Finsley of Queen For A Day? He's got the late 70s-early 80s Freddie look and could do so well!!

I suggest the guy in Sister Act 2 when she goes into the after hours. I swear that there's a bloke in Sister Act 2 that looks like Freddie.

He'd do quite well. Give a rats about his voice.
