Now its summer, at least in dates anyway what are your favourite summer songs I'll start with

Summertime - DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince
Three Lions - Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds
Ignition Remix - R Kelly
Blue Monday - New Order (has to be the full 12" version)
We Are The Champions - Queen (more spring though, love it when its played at Preston North End when we win a championship, I've heard it twice now more than Blackpool fans have. Ha, ha. Ha, ha. Ha)
Perfect - Fairground Attraction
Paradise City - Guns n' Roses
So What - Anti Nowhere League (Personel reasons but there is something about slipping this song into a BBQ soundtrack, check the lyrics out)
Fool's Gold - The Stone Roses

There we are, fantastic for when the weather is 'scorchio'
Guess who's back?
S
Baby I Love Your Way - Big Mountain
Trash City - Joe Strummer
Laid - James
California - Phantom Planet
Instant Pleasure - Rufus Wainwright

and many many more I can't bother to type down now...

Just pop the Beach Boys' Greatest Hits on. You can't go wrong.

Boys of Summer - Don Henley

ALWAYS reminded me of summer (obviously) and California beaches (which are, by far... the best!)
...Erica* "I don't judge others. I say if you feel good with what you're doing, let your freak flag fly." --Sarah Jessica Parker

And this is for Flashman--

Human: What is your favorite song
Flashman: My favorite song is Rule Brittania. Do you know it?

Human: No+
Flashman: Rule Brittania is one of the best songs ever written.

Human: Sing Rule Brittania
Flashman: I'm a little rosebush, hear me shout, "Free perch for any bird who gets their tits out!"
...Erica* "I don't judge others. I say if you feel good with what you're doing, let your freak flag fly." --Sarah Jessica Parker

Popeda - Pitkä Kuuma Kesä (don't even expect you to know it ;-))

+ many other songs that have been hits during previous summers.
Not those are losers who fall, but those who don't stand up.

That song almost makes me cry! Probably because I gave it on a CD to my boyfriend right before he left the country and I wouldn't see him again for a long, long time. You get a bit sobby from such memories together with "this is the time, but time is gonna change..."

*sniff*

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes songs do that. I have that kind of emotion attached to soooo much music! LOL!
