Well, I doubt that Silje visits porn sites:-) I know I don't and I don't use Kazaa or emule and I still had problems with Spyware until I found SpywareBlaster which is fantastic. I can only recommend it. I know that SpyBot Search and Destroy does not work well with adaware on the same computer but I prefer Spybot any time over adaware.

Tried to download Adaware but it wouldn't work though I tried twice. Spybot seems to work but can't delete three spyware programs, one of which is called Xupiter and labeled a hijacker (which sounds bad). Another program I tried, showed a whole bunch of spyware which Spybot didn't find, but then when I pressed "remove these files" the program kindly informed me that only the scan itself was for free. Right now there's an ad from Google on this very page - has Queenzone started with ads or is it just another proof that my computer is fucked up?

Kazaa is a breeding ground for spyware and viruses - just ask my brother and sister. Their kids used Kazaa (without using a firewall or virus checker!!!! Stupid or what!) and ended up with monumental amounts of problems.
If you want to use Kazaa, I would reccomend using a friend's pc and keep your own safe ;-)

Silje, please follow my advice: Install SpywareBlaster and run SpyBot Search and Destroy, it will surely remove Xupiter which is just a dialler. It's just that the diallers install themselves again all the time and to avoid this you need SpywareBlaster - really.

Silje, use the program Bazooka.
It doesn't remove the spyware, it tells you how
to do it yourself, but that isn't hard, so try it!

Thanks again, everyone. I'll follow your advice, Barb. I tried last night but couldn't download it from the link I was given, but now I'll search up another link and see what happens. :-)
I used CWSshredder (see below link) to get rid a nasty browser hijacker at work (that Spybot or e-Trust could not get rid of). That trojan is gone thanks to CWSshredder (and it is a "free" download, but a donation to this college student is suggested)

Silje - If you still have trouble, I strongly recommend CWSshredder. The scan AND the use of the program was free. It got rid of the browser hijacker when other software could identify it but not remove it. Thanks to cwsshredder I can do technical searches of the web at work without getting an endless stream of bogus "search" pages.
