I recently watched Highlander in its entirety for the very first time, and was surprised to hear a piano version (no vocals) of One Year of Love later in the film. Does anyone know who exactly plays piano on this? Is it Freddie, or a session player (kinda like Steve Gregory played sax on the main version)? Very lovely.
And to hear the first verse of WWTLF sung by Freddie just makes one's jaw drop to the floor. Once again, an official soundtrack album would tie up all these wonderful loose ends.

I think it's Freddie. A soundtrack album would be great but we'll never see it (it wouldn't sell).
I think all the Highlander versions will be in the box set (but if we'll ever see the box sets...:-( )

I was thinking of ripping that part of WWTLF but realised it'd sound shit. So I didn't.

I think it's Freddie, it sure sounds like him

I think it`s Fred considering John said it, and he was referring to the soundtrack

You can get that bootleg version of the "Highlander Soundtrack" on Ebay, I see an ad for it every week, same seller, making a mint....

It sounds like One Year Of Love, but it ALSO could be a demo from AKOM called Butterfly. I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

Actually, "Butterfly" is a completely different song. If you've seen Magic Years vid, you'll hear it's totally different.
