This reminds me off an incident that took place a couple of years ago. I was walking past the Balmoral Hotel in Princes Street, Edinburgh when I noticed non other than Lee & H of Steps signing autographs for fans.
Being on the large side I was able to push through to the front of the crowd with ease and I asked them to sign an autograph for me which I intended to sell on ebay at a later date.
I then engaged them in a prolonged conversation during which they were unable to sign any other autographs.
In fact I managed to hold them up long enough for their manager to announce that they would have to leave. I could see that the young fans were upset but they eventually sloped off. I was feeling pretty smug with myself when I noticed a young girl in a wheelchair with tears running down her face. It would have been all to easy for me to hand over my autographed photo to the young girl but I was afraid that she might think I was patronising her. So I ripped it up in front of her and threw the tattered shreds of paper into the gutter before walking away.
I often think about that little girl and wonder of she appreciates the sacrifice I made for her.

But John Rocker lives about two blocks away from me in the summer, which I am properly ashamed of. Once again, Georgia is the most fucked-up state in the fifty.
