In the absence of new Queen DVDs (come on Brian, when's the next DVD-A out????), I decided to blow a tenner on the unauthorised documentry "Magic Moments".
Well, let me tell you what's on it and you can all decide whether you think it's worth your hard earned cash.
As a documentry, it lasts 60 minutes and is mainly comprised of interviews with Peter Freestone, Peter Straker, Wayne Sleep, Peter Stringfellow, Simon Bradley (guitar magazine), Annie Nightingle (ex radio1 DJ) and David Minns, all talking about their personal views and experinces which are kinda interesting.
The composure of the DVD takes each album in turn and any relevant bits of info from the interviewees is used.
There are a number of photos used, about 4 of which I've never seen.
Regards the "rare clips" used - well these are sparse and basically consist of bits from Freddie's interview by ABC Australia in 84/85 (about 40 seconds worth), rehearsal footage from Live Aid (about 30 seconds and SILENT), a brief interview clip of Brian from a Live Aid interview and a clip of Roy Thomas Baker talking about BR from "magic Years".
There's also about 6 seconds of the band landing at Knebworth in the chopper (again silent).
I won't tell you whether it's worth your hard earned cash or not, but I'm sure most people will be dissapointed in the lack of clips and music (understandable really as it's NOT official) and you won't hear an awful lot of info you didn't already know...
Now then, who's going to buy the next unofficial DVD release that comes out soon and tell us all about it?
