I downloaded this ages ago but subsequently lost it in a crash. Recently I've found it again to download but its incomplete. I can't remember whether my original was complete or not! Was it always available in complete form?

God, the things I lost in my crash! :-(

I don't exactly know, but for your information Valensia made a cute cover of this song (along with a lot of other covers, not to forget My Fairy King's one!)

Are you talking about the Smile version or the Queen version (Freddie's vocals)?

This version is incomplete as well. There's a fuller version with about a minute of studio banter at the beginning.

Many thanks YV! That was the one I originally downloaded, off Mr. Scully's site! Ta!

Let's hope John Stuart sees this and answers your questions.

Can you share the complete version in the hub, Adam?

I guess you are referring to the infamous second take of Polar Bear. It was supossedly recorded on November of 1970, at a location unknown to me. If the date is right, it certainly features Barry Mitchell on bass. Maybe John can throw some light on this.

And it is quite funny to hear Roger complaining about the tempo.
