Song Order on Queen Albums

Has anyone ever noticed that the song order kinda sucked on many Queen CDs. With the exeption of ANATO, Queen II, SHA, and Innuendo, the other albums have just a bad song order!

I think my number one worst song order album is The Miracle....why would you start the album off with the worst two songs?? Party and Khashoggi's Ship. They should have gone somewhere in the middle perhaps...but definately not the beginning. I would have liked them putting "Was It All Worth It" as the first track and "The Miracle" as the last track. But oh well that is just my opinion.

Here, I think, is a better song order:

Was It All Worth It
I Want It All
Breakthru
My Baby does Me
Scandal
Party
Khashoggi's Ship
The Invisible Man
Rain Must Fall
The Miracle
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"

Was It All Worth It? has to go at the end. It's an ending song. Like The Show Must Go On. And i'm sure Queen did'nt think 'well Party and Khashoggis ship are crap so we will stick them at the start'.

sweet's right I love the order as it is. changing it would be useless.

I disagree...Was it all worth it would be a great opening song for an album or concert.
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"

Was It All Worth It seems like a closing song to me, like looking back on everything that's happened.

I hate to agree with jasen*, but I think any 'closing' song can also work as an opener. Case in point: The Show Must Go On in Greatest Hits 3. Although that version blows anyway so perhaps it's a bad example.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: YDFM is in a terrible place on MIH.
And TSMGO AFTER One Vision on GHII? No. No, no, no, no. Bad. Naughty.

I don't think God Save the Queen could have worked as an opener. No way. Well maybe..but no.

uh...hello? "God save the Queen" was played as the opener at Party at the palace....duh!
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"

Yeah, TSMGO comes before One Vision. It should've been after, though.

Miracle's tracks are spot-on (order-wise). Album started with a bang and ended with one too. Then those bonus tracks started...

Always thought We Are The Champs may have been better at or towards the end of News Of The World. Closing the album with the song they similarly closed their concerts with.

I like the song order in THE MIRACLE, as in most of the QUEEN albums. I can only think of one exception: JAZZ.

Oh yeah, forgot about the thing with Greatest Hits II. I always figured this was done on purpose since Innuendo had already ended with TSMGO and it would seem silly to end two albums the same way, though it didn't stop Hollywood from ending 'Classic Queen' with it :-P
